La suavidad que merecemos
Exhibition
-> Mar 19 – Mar 21
Salón Silicón presents the performative exhibition The Softness We Deserve by Marita Suavecitx (Mérida), which interrogates the mechanisms of control and seduction constructed in everyday life, inviting the viewer to rethink the interconnection between the erotic and structures of power. In the hyperreality we inhabit, soft power has become a force that, through superficial seduction, seeks to drag us toward fragmented identities that facilitate the manipulation of desire. Thus, this project takes shape through the creation and embodiment of two characters who confront and merge with one another. On the one hand, Marita Suavecitx represents mainstream soft power—the one that traps us through the passive consumption of information on social media—while Cyber Dixie is a non-binary fembot who embodies alternative soft power, one that calls for the active demand for the softness we deserve.

Corrupt Desire — Performance
Saturday, March 21 — 6:30 pm
Corrupt Desire is a multidisciplinary performance that merges digital art, installation, sound, and live action to explore the tensions between pleasure, desire, and power in the era of hyper-globalization and pink capitalism. Through a narrative inspired by pop aesthetics and posthuman feminism, the piece confronts the ways in which desire is shaped and commodified by contemporary power structures.
