Guía de campo para el entusiasta del polen
Exhibition

Orquideario del Jardín Botánico
Hooogar Colectivo, in collaboration with Proyectos Multipropósito, present the solo exhibition by Juni Aranda Rubli, Guía de campo para el entusiasta del polen (Field Guide for the Pollen Enthusiast).
The exhibition will take place on February 7 and 8, 2026, at the Orchid House of the Chapultepec Forest Botanical Garden, during its regular hours from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and concurrently at the Proyectos Multipropósito booth at Salón ACME.
This dual-site exhibition presents a project by Juni Aranda Rubli that unfolds between an art fair and a temporary activation in the orchid house, establishing an ongoing dialogue between sketch and finished work.
The pictorial component, presented within the fair context, functions as an archive and a system of annotations that anticipates the inflatables. In contrast, the two-day activation in the orchid house gives rise to inflatable sculptures that inhabit an environment that is both vegetal and artificial, existing in a constant state of transformation and deflation.
The project also operates as both a reference to and a critique of systems used to classify living beings. Through speculation on movement and form, the work reflects a personal experience of continuous transit. For the artist, what matters most is that the exhibition exists and can be activated in the present, reclaiming the use of public space—such as the botanical garden, historically associated with elites—as a site open to artistic experimentation. Both venues mirror one another in a meta-game of repetition and displacement, where the works in one site function as sketches for the other: an endless process that puts into tension the stability of forms, the classification of the living, and the circulation of artworks between the market and nature.
The exhibition is ephemeral and can only be visited on the dates indicated. Admission to the Chapultepec Orchid House is completely free; however, to visit the portion of the project presented at Salón ACME, it will be necessary to purchase the corresponding art fair ticket.
This exhibition is supported by the Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo (PAC) as part of Hooogar Colectivo’s project De lo local y de lo ajeno, within the 2026 exhibition cycle.
