Open Studio / La mínima Condición project
Event
-> Jan 30 2026
The Minimal Condition is a project by artist Isabel Paredes, developed as part of the Suelo residency, that explores ceramic sculpture through play understood as an aesthetic and embodied experience. The project is presented in an open studio, where visitors are invited to engage with and observe the ongoing creative process. Through small-format works conceived as minimal machines, the artist activates primal gestures such as touching, moving, and repeating, both in the ceramic process and in the viewer’s engagement. The pieces function as systems of repetion and attention, some of them interactive or diorama-like, inviting symbolic immersion. Inspired by traditional toys and decorative ceramics, the works reflect on the minimum conditions necessary for an object to operate as sculpture, body, or female figure, opening a space for critical reflection on female representation.
