Planta Libre
Planta Libre presents the group exhibition Intersticios (from the Latin interstitium), a term that refers to the intermediate spaces that exist between two bodies, ideas, times, or structures.
In this exhibition, interstices names a shared space where distinct practices and territories brush against one another and generate meaning. The show brings together drawing practices that situate themselves in the in-between: between territories, gestures, and ways of thinking about the image. Artists from Jalisco and Mexicali enter into dialogue from different geographic and cultural contexts, meeting through drawing as a common ground for exploration.
Rather than understanding the interstice as emptiness, the exhibition frames it as an active zone: a site of crossing where the line functions as record, porous boundary, and possibility for movement. The show proposes inhabiting this “between” as a productive space where differences are not erased, but instead generate tensions, resonances, and new forms of relation.Interstices are spaces between things: transitional zones where crossings, frictions, and transformations occur. Participating artists include Héctor Bázaca, Sergio Castellanos, Cesar Castillo, Isa Huerta, Luz Yaniel Montiel, Elizabeth Navarrete, Miriam Rodríguez, and René Tapia.
