On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, Casa Lo’ol presents at Lux Perpetua gallery Intaglio: 10 Years of Casa Lo’ol, a group exhibition bringing together more than 100 works by national and international artists, reflecting a decade of sustained engagement with contemporary printmaking.
Through its residency program, the workshop has collaborated in the production of graphic work using copper plate printmaking techniques, generating co-editions that expand the possibilities of the medium and foster exchange across diverse practices.
Located in the Itzimná neighborhood in Mérida, Yucatán, the workshop offers an environment where tradition, craftsmanship, and contemporaneity converge, enriching both the artist’s experience and their creative processes. The exhibition offers an approach to the processes, terminology, and outcomes of printmaking developed within Casa Lo’ol, underscoring the importance of collective work, technical specialization, and the continued relevance of printmaking in the contemporary art landscape.
Throughout Casa Lo’ol’s trajectory, artists such as Esmeralda Torres, Aidee de León, Guillermo Olguín, Magali Lara, Barry Wolfryd, Miguel Castro Leñero, Emilio Said, and Orlanda Broom, among others, have collaborated with the workshop.
