Here, Now

Here, Now is the third installment in Sacha Craddock’s curatorial cycle at Plataforma. Titled Attention, this cycle unfolds over the course of a year in a series of four exhibitions. The show develops a relationship between artistic experience and observational understanding through the work of eight artists from Los Angeles and Tijuana. In a critical era that demands art to question the way it operates, this exhibition focuses on the capacity to generate experience—not as something directed, but as something traversed by the medium. Painting, photography, and drawing are sustained through concentration, restraint, and content, carrying a wide richness of associations and, ultimately, of reality.
