Rayón 376 presents Exquisite Corpse: Laboratory of Correspondences: an exhibition showcasing the results of a correspondence exercise featuring works by Carolina Dávalos, Valeria Pazos, Melissa Grijalva, Xaní Madrigal, Christopher Vicente, Carlos Yamil, and Edu Rodríguez Lara.
This exhibition presents the result of a correspondence exercise between photographers and writers who, drawing from the logic of the exquisite corpse, activated a chain of responsesproduced in real time. Each strip begins with a single piece—image or text—handed to another participant as a trigger. From that point on, the work shifts: each response does not illustrate or explain, but reacts from intuition, doubt, or the affective resonance sparked by the previous piece.
Over six consecutive exchanges, the correspondences transform, tighten, unfold, and ultimately return to the person who initiated the sequence. The closing does not resolve meaning; it responds from what has already been altered. More than a sum of individual pieces, Exquisite Corpse operates as a collective device that puts authorship, control, and the idea of a closed work into tension, embracing listening, risk, and shared transformation.
