Forma Deforma Reforma Contrarreforma Transforma
Exhibition
-> Jan 30 – May 10
The exhibition proposes a reflection on the relationship between form and content as an unstable process, traversed by excess, error, and transformation. Cristóbal Gracia works from sculpture, printmaking, and other media to strain the logics of reproduction, where an excess of information, texture, and fragment becomes a point of failure. Far from being corrected, this error is activated as the conceptual and material engine of the work.
Forma Deforma Reforma Contrarreforma Transforma enters into dialogue with theories of the parasitic baroque and their notions of accumulation and overflow, understanding excess as residue, macro-dust, and waste. Between historical processes and contemporary technologies, the works in the exhibition reveal how every translation from one medium to another leaves visible traces, supports, and frictions.
