Concierto: Degrada

Museo Jumex invites you to a Concierto: Degrada, by Renard Solís Herrera.

This concert is a composition and improvisation of music inspired by the chants of soccer hooligan firms in Latin America. The main compositional parameter is the distortion of the traditional tonalities of anthems and songs, as well as playing with the usual speeds and rhythms. This exercise seeks to integrate into the music the irregularities and spontaneities that arise in the stands during a soccer match.

Renard Solís Herrera (Monterrey, 1996). He works in philosophy and art with an interest in revealing and updating the relationship between various disciplines, primarily painting and performance, while proposing and questioning philosophical discourses through the aesthetic exercise that implicates them. His work is centered on the creation and revaluation of concepts through experience from a vitalist and nihilist stance, seeking to create a system of thought that is conscious of the dynamics of change and multiplicity, both in the realms of life and artistic practice.
