Carolina Montejo

It is defined through the natural world, social and environmental justice, and technology. Over the past decade, Carolina Montejo has been exploring various material, mental, and mediated spaces that tend to expose oppressive systems which harm our communities, the environment, and the planet's potential for renewal. Her creative process has expanded as she embraces her own participation in systems such as capitalism and patriarchy, driving her to critically examine her creativity and nonconformity. On other occasions, she has set out to find beauty and alternative worlds in an attempt to repair ties between humanity and multiple life experiences. The result can be seen in her experimental and journalistic narratives, which move between biological, feminist, and poetic spaces.

It is a show that includes photographic works from the multimedia series Misión Ceres (2014-2016), as well as a collection of video works and short films such as 100 Days of Peace, War, and Liberation, Water Ceases Fire, Rhizomes, and (RE) Adaptation.
