Carlotto Rose

Prólogo a la nada

Exhibition

-> Feb 4 – Mar 4
Ends in 8 days

As part of Proyectos Multipropósito’s exhibition cycle, the exhibition Prólogo a la nada by artist Carlotto Rose (b. 1992, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain) is presented. The exhibition centers on imagining a family photo album belonging to one of the families who lived on the military base in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where the atomic bomb was developed and created.

Working in the manner of an archaeologist, the artist presents an album of Polaroid photographs deteriorated by radiation, in which the familiar, the fictitious, and the nightmarish converge, alongside other works in various formats created by the artist from the perspective of that family, imagining their everyday life on the military base—where they led a family and “normal” life while, behind the scenes, evil was being created.
