Carlos Lara

As part of MADE’s programming, Yo Studio presents La Armonía de las facultades [The Harmony of the Faculties] by Carlos Lara. In this exhibition, Lara works with found objects—trash, remnants, fragments of the city—that are rubbed against sandpaper until they disappear. The gesture does not aim to represent the object, but to exhaust it. Between imagination and understanding, an anxiety surfaces: a desire to vanish, to dissolve within the action itself.
