Art in Flight: Aesthetics Without a Subject Taught by Yesua Sánchez, PhD in Art History, M.A. in Modern and Contemporary Art, and B.A. in Philosophy.
In person: $300 | Online: $150
This theoretical class proposes thinking about art beyond those who produce it, observe it, or administer it. The artwork appears through these figures and their frameworks only to escape them and continue its movement. Its meaning circulates and transforms, settling into lasting definitions, values, or interpretations, while coming into contact with something that does not belong to our world. In a present shaped by technological immediacy, this flight accelerates: the figure of the artist loses centrality, and the artwork seems to produce itself. In this displacement, art ceases to speak about us and instead brings forth an alien world—one that advances, asserts itself, and ultimately devours our own.
