Ariana Díaz and Javier Casas Morales

Tierra Caliente, curated by Romina Beltrán Lazo, is the first exhibition of Plataforma’s residency program. For this show, Ariana Díaz (Guadalajara, Mexico, 1993) and Javier Morales Casas (Tolima, Colombia, 1993) explore the roots of personal origin. Through amorphous doubts and answers, they reconfigure our understanding of memory. Both artists trace the steps of familial ghosts, animals, peasants, and minerals that inhabit dreamlike, heated landscapes—landscapes that work the land and are, in turn, shaped by it.

The exhibition will take place in the residency studio and on the terrace, the third level of Plataforma.
