Anni Garza Lau

As part of the exhibition Messages from the Future: Exercises in Latin American Speculative Design, the Public Programs team at MAZ will activate the piece Programmed Symbiosis: The Post-Internet Body (2020) by Anni Garza Lau.

In this work, the artist imagines a future in which bodies and technologies coexist under a regime of mutual control. Implants, networks, and a retro-futuristic aesthetic generate extraordinary experiences that can be activated by the public through wearable suits that alter perception in real time.
