Palimpsesto: Ejercicios para leer el territorio
By Ariana Diaz
The Museo de Arte de Zapopan invites you to Palimpsesto: Ejercicios para leer el territorio, a workshop led by Ariana Diaz.
Every landscape is also a palimpsest: a surface where different layers of time accumulate, disappear, and are rewritten.
Inspired by the exhibition 1 gota de lluvia sobre el polvo by artist Carmen Huízar, this two-session theoretical and practical laboratory explores landscape as a living archive. Using images of Jalisco, everyday observation journals, and tools such as Google Maps and Google Earth, participants will explore the traces that time, memory, and territory leave upon the land.
