YOPE Project Space

Founded in mid-2017 and run by five artists from Oaxaca, YOPE Project Space is a mutable platform—both physical and virtual—as well as a working group and a shared production space dedicated to developing projects around contemporary art. Its operation is based on collaboration and the exchange of knowledge with workshops, cultural and non-cultural agents, museums, and contemporary art spaces at the local, national, and international levels. Based in the city of Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, the project is made up of Jou Morales, Andy Medina, Gibran Mendoza, David Zafra, and Kasser Sánchez. Its physical space is divided into five production studios, a merchandise shop, a gallery, and a recreational area.
