Gobernador

Located in San Miguel Chapultepec, Gobernador emerges as a meeting point between emerging artists and practices whose trajectories warrant renewed visibility. Its program seeks to establish dialogues between generations and different temporalities, linking current production with works, objects, and archives of historical relevance.

Through exhibitions and curatorial projects, the gallery aims to generate new readings between contemporary practices and materials from other moments and cultural contexts, activated through a curatorial perspective grounded in the present.

Gobernador works with artists producing from Latin America, whose practices are connected to the cultures and issues of the region. The gallery’s approach centers on building collaborative networks that strengthen the relationship between artists and a diverse community. Its projects explore a range of media and languages, articulated through a poetic sensibility and a critical perspective on the present.
