Cimbra

Cimbra is a itinerant curatorial project that transforms abandoned spaces into exhibition venues. The word “cimbra” refers to the temporary wooden structures that support concrete & brick constructions found across Mexico & Latin America - holding structures together as bricks are put in place. The verb “cimbrar” alludes to the moment when moving something from its place generates a series of vibrations. In this sense, the project explores the relationships that emerge when bodies, artworks, and spaces come into contact, establishing shared rhythms.
