Cenaduría Tierra Blanca is an artistic project based in Culiacán, Sinaloa, emerging from the intersection of contemporary art, and community dynamics. Founded in 2022 by Alejandro Castañeda, its focus centers on artistic practices rooted in territory, affect, and everyday tensions, activating processes of creation, reflection, and cultural re-signification in dialogue with life in Northwest Mexico.
The project inhabits a traditional house of the Tierra Blanca neighborhood; a site of transit, encounter, and popular memory. transforming it into a meeting point where workshops, exhibitions, and conversations converge. Cenaduría Tierra Blanca envisions itself as a mobile platform oscillating between artistic production and local knowledge, between the urban present and the remnants of a shared past.
Its intention is to build bridges among artists, neighbors, and visitors, decentralizing conventional exhibition formats to provoke new ways of seeing, narrating, and inhabiting the art. It seeks to cultivate an artistic community that is sensitive to context, responsive to transformation, and aware of its role within the social fabric.
