Yann Leto & Victoria Rivers

Galería Karen Huber presents, through IG Live, the Hangout of the exhibition La posibilidad del mundo, with the participation of artist Yann Leto and art curator and writer Victoria Rivers.

Yann Leto (1979, Bordeaux, FR) is a French artist based in Spain since 2007. His primary medium is painting, although he also explores installation, sculpture and performance. His work, dense and detailed, is distinguished by a critical approach to socio-political issues, functioning as a collage in which typographic elements coexist alongside classical and modern references. This year we presented his work during the ARCOMadrid art fair as well as during the group exhibition Sobre cómo poner el cuerpo, inaugurated as part of Art Week 2024.

In La posibilidad del mundo, his first solo show at the gallery, Leto explores the indifference and passivity of his characters in the face of a world in decline. From the position of the observer, rather than that of the critic, his work presents scenarios of stoic nonchalance that invite us to reflect on our own attitude in the face of chaos.
