Centro Cultural de España en México presents Volcánica 2024_Polvo: The languages of the body where it convenes a series of expanded animation projects that emphasize the relationships that animated cinema establishes with other areas of discourse other than narrative/cinematic ones.
In a novel by Kathy Acker, a character maintains: 'To me, desire and pain are the same.' Are they really? This statement is as vast as everything and as fleeting as nothing. It's like becoming a speck of dust in the vastness of the galaxy, or like looking in the mirror and never recognizing the same image. It is like building a memory towards the future and imagining technologies that transform bodies into mutant expressions. Between desire and pain, the intrinsic presence of the machine emerges.
Participating: Milena Pafundi, André Gravioto, Sasha Sathya, Jenny Granado KEBRA, Malicia Sabina, Daikoku Reyes Ruiz and Interespecific.
