Caja modular V and Camuflaje
Exhibition
-> Feb 6 2022 – Mar 26 2022
Caja modular V and Camuflaje by Victoria Núñez Estrada is the first exhibition presented by People Who Live in Glass Houses Shouldn't Throw Stones, a curatorial project by Jim Ricks that is made up of a glass box in the public space. Additional work viewable inside by appointment.
Camouflage is a cubic painting made with oil and spray paint, which reflects on the role of graffiti as a public painting, Victoria is interested in the action of "vandalizing" private and public space and the intention of eliminating one act through another. Equally it is pictorial, by not being able (or not wanting) to cover the graffiti in its entirety. She brings both reflections to the canvas and 'vandalizes' classical painting and its two-dimensionality.
