UX of Art

Avant.Dev presents UX of Art a music event at the space in Rosales #13, Tabacalera neighborhood.

Experimenting with a radical imagination allows us to modify old words with new meanings to create new perspectives on our lived experiences. Avant.Dev and OTONO invite you to UX of Art, a showcase of sounds and visuals in hybrid formats with the works of COAST2C Live Set (Mexico), Rampa (Mexico), WAH (Mexico), Fe 6ta (Ecuador), Aro & Mio (Argentina) y Epifonias Delirantes (Mexico).

UX of Art is an event of electronic music and advanced technologies that takes place in a context of potential divergence and dissonance, an event that is part of the formal announcement and collaboration of Avant.Dev in Space of Urgency, with the support of strategic alliances of the club scene in Mexico as OTONO.SPACE and internationally through Tresor Foundation, United We Stream, Refuge Worldwide, Act4Culture & BAM Conference (Balkan Advanced Music Conference).

The need to create spaces of urgency arises as an unifying metaphor, Space of Urgency immediately draws attention to the precarious position of independent cultural spaces. The global crisis of the pandemic, an expanding war, coupled with economic stagnation and political polarization threaten the very existence of social ecosystems where non-dominant youth culture, LGBTQ+ communities, and other underrepresented groups reside. To achieve our vision of safe spaces in the next 5 years, we must start by addressing the biggest obstacles in our path and asking ourselves: How can we equip independent cultural spaces with the knowledge and resources to become self-sufficient? How can we measure the social and cultural impact? How can we get independent cultural spaces, government agencies and change actors to build trust, through real participation and encourage knowledge sharing?

That is why we invite you to a representative event of the night club scene, performances, raves, exhibitions and opinion panels among the hospitality culture of Avant.Dev + OTONO to present Space Of Urgency for the first time in Mexico.
