Centro Cultural de España en México presents the exhibition Tierra Condenada. An exhibition instigated by Bea Millón and accompanied by Andrea Ancira.
Tierra Condenada is the result of the dialogue and relationship of a group of people and groups that resist the brutal onslaught of mining extractivism. The exhibition presents seven works: Stolen Stone Archive (2018-22), Salaverna Constellation (2018-24), In Your Eyes, Our Shore (2021) Atestigua/Grieta (2024), Raw Material (2018-24), Incarnated Territories (2018-2024), Gold and Silver, Iron and Lead, Iodine and Lithium (2021-23). These pieces were conceived and produced over a period of six years in collaboration with activists and people directly affected by mining. Rather than attempting to attest to an event that has already happened, these pieces are affective attestations, that is, indications or traces of the effects that these encounters have triggered over time.
