Three Worlds: Science Fiction and Contemporary Art Workshop

Via Zoom

Workshop

-> Mar 9 2022 – May 4 2022

More than a literary genre, science fiction is a laboratory for thought experiments. His imagination becomes an incredibly wide field, where contemporary art has found a place for creation. This workshop given by CROMA seeks to display visions of science fiction through contemporary art, where materiality, image, abstraction, relationships and politics lead science fiction to unexpected places. - CHROMA

The workshop given by CROMA, in collaboration with Everything about drawing, seeks to display visions of science fiction through contemporary art with the help of the work and lines of research of three artists: Santiago Gómez, Margot Kalach and Ángela Leyva.

Science fiction will be covered extensively; Different literary texts, video fragments and artistic references will be discussed. Science fiction from the periphery, the evolution of the organic/mechanical concept and thinking from the skin, among others, will be reviewed.

Who is it for?
