Tu sombra sustituida

Travesía Cuatro presents Tu sombra sustituida by Teresa Solar Abboud.

[Teresa] Solar Abboud's thinking is plasticine-like and genealogical. With it, she shapes a universe of interconnected ideas. In fact, her studio is filled with small plasticine sculptures that, like soft prototypes, serve her to project her later works, just as her notebooks—always the same size—have become repositories where she pours out reflections and associates ideas through image cutouts from any magazine to compose collages and drawings that clearly demonstrate the articulated organization of her thought, the perception, and experience of the origin of each form, each piece, and the relationships that are established between them. Recently, drawing has taken a prominent position in the artist's production, not only accompanying her sculptures but also as works conceived independently to capture forms that fold into a particular color range, from electric blue to pink, orange, and yellow. These color ranges create powerful visual effects that make her sculpture enter a dimension where softness becomes hardness, generating a multisensory forces in constant search for new materials and their consequent possibilities.
