Morán Morán presents the closing of the exhibition Watch Yourself by Robin F. Williams.
Robin F. Williams is a contemporary artist known for her large-format figurative paintings that explore themes of femininity, identity, and gender. Williams has gained international recognition for her ability to create works that capture the emotional and psychological complexity of her characters.
Her work can be seen as a critical exploration of the figurative artistic tradition, challenging systemic conventions around the representations of women. Williams employs a variety of techniques, including: oil, airbrush, direct pour paint, marbling, and raw canvas dyeing to create works of deep texture and complex construction. Combining exceptional technical knowledge with an innate sense of curiosity, Williams fuses practices from social media platforms with references to modernism, pop culture, advertising and film to create a dialogue between the past and the present. .
