Each exhibitor was challenged to iterate on their own definition of the concept of “furniture”—functional, nonfunctional, recognizable or not: a challenge to expand our expectations and ideas of what furniture can be. The exhibition blends art and design and offers accessibility for the art/design world and general public alike, pursuing Pink Essay’s mission of “design for all.”

This exhibition is part of Pink Essay's continuing Physical Education series, an event and content series celebrating design education through exhibitions and digital experiences. The series is guided by a desire to create safe spaces for everyone interested in design to explore their passion and educate themselves on the past, present, and future of design.
