Paloma de la Cruz

Tejida en sombra, parida en fuego

Proyecto H presents Tejida en sombra, parida en fuego by Paloma de la Cruz.

Paloma de la Cruz was born in Málaga, Spain, where she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s in Artistic Production. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of the Basque Country and lives and works in Madrid, where she has participated in national and international art fairs such as ARCO from 2020 to 2023, Estampa from 2021 to 2024, and ARCOLisboa in 2022.

Proyecto H is pleased to present Tejida en sombra, parida en fuego, the first solo exhibition of Paloma de la Cruz. Her artistic practice focuses primarily on working with clay, a material that allows her to explore the intimacy and openness inherent in her own process: malleable, sensitive, and visceral. For de la Cruz, clay is an extension of the body, sharing fundamental gestures such as bending, massaging, shaping, or even cutting. Her work revolves around this profound connection between matter and flesh, between what transforms and what endures.
