Karen Huber Gallery presents the Public Program of Paisajes, Ana Segovia's exhibition.

Session 1: Espectros de la modernidad by curator Mariel Vela.

Starting from some of the ideas proposed in the book "Exhausting dance: performance and movement politics" by André Lepecki, we will undertake the task of exhausting the concept of movement in relation to modernity. Why do we associate the seemingly mobile with the living and the revolutionary? What were the effects of the arrival of technologies such as electricity and chronophotographs on our perception of movement?

During the month of September, the Karen Huber Gallery presented a series of performances of a contemporary dance piece composed by the artists Ana Segovia & Diego Vega Solorza, related to the exhibition Landscapes by Ana Segovia.

In these talks open to the public, some of the main axes of the research developed for the Landscapes exhibition project will be presented, as well as a chronicle of the meeting points and divergences that were part of the first meetings between Ana Segovia, Diego Vega Solorza and the project researcher Mariel Vela.
