Objetos de extrañeza

Curated by Mariela Patiño

Objetos de extrañeza is a group exhibition featuring works by five artists based in Querétaro. It brings together installation, painting, drawing, video, and sound art in an investigation centered on two main lines: the non-space generated by technological virtuality—utopia as a space that does not yet exist and as a life drive—and aesthetics as a new social ethic.

The curatorial approach explores a becoming rather than a conventional exhibition, proposing a cultural product conceived from communication rather than from art history. It points to art not as an extraordinary individual act but as a collective phenomenon. Forced to move at ground level, as specters and victims of our own demands, the exhibition invites us to recognize this contemporary experience and to reclaim the body as a channel through which to feel the world.
