Objetos Buscan Casa

Loot presents Objetos buscan casa, an exhibition curated by Fernanda Sela, a selection of functional objects that highlight the importance of design in the domestic space, as a pleasing and playful object, rather than just a necessity. 

Such pieces are a sample of the spirit of the present moment in the current contemporary Mexican design scene. Every one of them —a table, a room divider, a couch, a bench, a chair, a lamp— proves how designers experiment with materials such as ceramic, onyx, wood or glass, to create pieces of different proportions and shapes, with a meaning that goes further than just the utilitarian. These designers are not afraid of using color, and they use their creativity to give life to functional pieces with an unexpected twist, personality and sense of humor. Upon first glance, each object produces a pleasant feeling of happiness and pseudo-companionship, instead of simply acting as an object of necessity.
