No Place Tour 2024

The fourth stage of the NO PLACE WORLD TOUR called on the artist to devise and coordinate the exhibition at Galería Arróniz Arte Contemporáneo, which is titled Piedra áspera, sin polir.

It will open with a talk to the public from 7pm.

Rows of notes waiting their turn, folded corners, pieces of paper, wrinkled sentences, drawings accumulated on the edges for years, bits of shapes, documents without bureaucracy, a sole that leaves its mark, wild, untidy, stylized collages, napkins with urgent scratches, notes on iPads, in the margins of a book, on the back of a ticket, sincere notes like opinions when they are said in confidence, objects, things made with little things, a mix of symbols, notebooks, lists, plans; This is a cluster of sketches, or as etymology defines: a cluster of rough, unpolished stones.

Here there are no finished works, there are no conclusions, nor a core investigation, what there is is what is a little before the work: a group of images that are part of diverse functional strategies for the apprehension and understanding of ideas, intentions. and concepts. For this exhibition there was no selection of artist or images, but rather the result was articulated from a collective invitation extended to the group of associated artists represented by the galleries that make up the NO PLACE project, who were asked to participate by asking Let them send some of their sketches by mail to build a common horizon in the exhibition space.

Sketches are allies, without them many works would escape.
