El sueño de los tordos is a project which the artist Nicolás Guzmán has been working on for several years. It is a film in which he shows us a dreamlike situation in the purest Buñuel style: a dehumanized human group that gives free rein to barbarism and selfishness.

Nicolas Guzmán was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, studied a Bachelor's Degree in Plastic Arts, Universidad Veracruzana (2001-2005). His development as an artist includes disciplines such as painting, sculpture, performance, installation, graphics, photography and video. His research centers around the nature of art; questioning the possibilities of the plastic arts and the role of creation from materials and the inherent limitations that both these and the representation formats mean in the perception of constructive elements such as matter, color and space. Nicolás Guzmán has had individual exhibitions at the Rufino Tamayo Museum of Pre-Hispanic Art, Oaxaca; Museum of Mexico City, CDMX; Chao Galpao Gallery, Sao Luis, Brazil; Spike Print Studio, Bristol, England, USSR, CDMX; Mexican Museum, San Francisco, California (online); as well as collectives at Galería Nueva, Madrid, Spain; Tokyo University of Arts and Music, Japan; San Agustín Etla Arts Center, Oaxaca; La Quiñonera, CDMX, among others. Experimentation through plastic art has led him to carry out production residencies at Clear Lake University, USA (2005); Phnom Penh University of Fine Arts, Cambodia (2011); Spike Print Studio, Bristol, England (2016); Ogami Press, Madrid, Spain (2016); Proyecto T, Galería Hispánica, Mexico City (2017); Casa Lool, Mérida, Yucatán (2018), USSR, CDMX, (2020). His work has been presented at international fairs such as BLOOM, Cologne, Germany (2010); MACO ZONE, CDMX, Mexico (2012); CHRISTIE ́S MULTIPLIED, London, England (2014) and JUST LX, Lisbon, Portugal (2019), ZONA MACO, CDMX, Mexico (2022); and belongs to the collections of the Institute of Graphic Arts of Oaxaca (IAGO), José Luis Cuevas Museum CDMX, Museo de la Estampa CDMX, Treasury and public credit CDMX, Figueroa and Hernández Monterrey, Aquarium paintings CDMX, University of Arts and Music of Tokyo , Japan, Mastercard, Museum of Art of Baja California (MUABCS), Payment in Kind Collection and Heritage Collection of the SHCP.
