Morton Subastas presents the first auction of 2024 from the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art with a selection of 310 lots, covering various periods, formats and artists.
The lots in this edition highlight the career of pioneers in the transformation of plastic language in Mexico, such as Vicente Rojo, Rafael Coronel, Francisco Corzas, Miguel Covarrubias and David Alfaro Siqueiros. In addition, works by Agustín Lazo, Gustavo Montoya and Raúl Anguiano, among other great artists, are included.
This auction also consists of a section dedicated to Jesús Reyes Ferreira "Chucho Reyes", which features the incorporation of popular elements and a colorful palette that reflects the Mexican pride of said artist. Likewise, pieces by international artists are included, including Robert Indiana, Yayoi Kusama, Jeff Koons, and Henry Moore with the sculpture "Relief No. 1."
Art specialists are at your disposal to clarify any questions and accompany you throughout the auction process. We invite you to attend the preview exhibition to appreciate each piece and delight in the talent of the artists included in this edition.
