Art is a constantly growing discipline that reflects the sociocultural contexts to which humans have been exposed throughout history. In this way, artists' choice of techniques and supports is influenced by their environment, as well as by the creative decisions required throughout their process.

Modern and Contemporary Art serves as a testimonial space for a wide range of expressions, fusing academic tradition with experimentation of media and themes. This auction presents 311 lots, as a tour of the techniques and materials in art, organized into drawing, sculpture, graphic work and painting, distinctions that protect a variety of languages.

They include sections by two current exponents of Latin American art such as Menchaca Studio with collaborative proposals by Wixárikas artists, as well as Alejandro Vigilante, originally from Argentina whose plastic language is inspired by popular culture to generate original compositions.

They feature works by international artists such as Pablo Picasso and René Magritte, pieces by masters of Mexican muralism such as Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and José Clemente Orozco, as well as other outstanding names such as Dr. Atl and Rufino Tamayo, among others.
