Mina Bárcenas

Patricia Conde Galería presents the photographic project Los bártulos by Mina Bárcenas in the gallery's library.

Los bártulos is composed by 7 pieces that revolve around one of the meanings of the library —in addition to containing and preserving memory— being home and refuge. The space will be intervened in its meaning —more than in its specific content— with autonomous pieces-memory that unfold in scenes and fissures that articulate ways of doing in displacements. The links between the island-images look at the journey in the rush of migration, and form an archipelago with porous borders. These borders will be connected by a fragmented text, with the matter of all books: letters, lines, spaces, periods and commas. Those elements on which a library grows and that —perhaps— can foreshadow some meaning.
