Ana Tejeda Gallery presents the exhibition Sueñan los machetes by Miguel Rodríguez Sepúlveda.

The exhibition Sueñan los Machetes, curated by Irving Domínguez, brings together a selection of pieces from 2011 to its most recent production, which has been made specifically for the Ana Tejeda Gallery. In this body of work, which is called The Desire for Serenity in the Face of the Relentless Course of the Human Condition, Rodríguez Sepúlveda once again takes up the machete as a starting point to transform its function, the one that throughout history has been related to war and agriculture. On this occasion, the artist assembles and weaves machetes to create blazons, coats of arms and tools of various intentions where the uses and meanings of an object with a clear political and social charge are intertwined.
