Material announces the 9th edition of its internationally recognized contemporary art fair.
Material Fair, joins Mexico City Art Week again this year, from February 9 to 12. For the first time since 2017, the fair will take place at the Expo Reforma convention center, located in the central Colonia Juárez.
In the Galleries section, Feria Material will present 57 exhibitors from 30 cities and 15 countries, selected by the fair committee, made up of: Chris Sharp Gallery, Los Angeles; Lodos, Mexico City; and Vision Institute, Bogotá / New York. Twenty-five exhibitors will be participating for the first time. The Projects section will present 10 exhibitors from 6 different cities in Mexico, selected for this innovative program in which they receive free exhibition space at Material fairs, as well as individual mentoring and professional workshops, all thanks to the support of Material's Main Ally. : Del Castillo y Castro Lawyers.
The fair will also host Todo—Mundo, a new art book fair organized by Temblores Publicaciones, from Mexico City; presenting to more than 54 exhibitors. Lastly, you cannot miss the sixth edition of the performance program, IMMATERIAL, with works by SERAFINE1369, Autumn Knight and Dora García over three days in three different locations.
The organizers of Material expect around 12,000 visitors during the four days of the event. Tickets for the public days of the fair (February 10-12) are already on sale at a cost of 250 Mexican pesos and can be purchased online or directly at the event.
