Arróniz presents the exhibition Bleeding Grids by Martín Pelenur.

Thinking about painting, asking how to paint instead of what to paint, associations of ideas appear from other people's voices and readings that I immediately turn them into my own. Not for stealing, but for sharing a knowledge that still has no words. I thank those vehicles that make it possible.

I like what I think when I paint' I once read and it made sense to me. Painting not as a language, but as a way of thinking.

Bleeding Grids

How to paint? How to continue painting? The BGs arise from a workshop discovery; the paint that “sneaks” through the masking tape and copies the grain of the wood. From there a procedure is born, a system that I can repeat. Generate a drawing, a grid with paper tape, and paint over it to activate the autonomy of the paint.
