Manuel Rocha Iturbide & Roberto Turnbull

Sound activation + visit

Le laboratoire presents a sound activation + guided tour of the dual exhibition De oido presented by Manuel Rocha Iturbide and Roberto Turnbull.

The exhibition De oido is an artistic dialogue between two great figures of the current Mexican scene, Manuel Rocha Iturbide and Roberto Turnbull, sparked by their friendship and deep interest in each other.

Its purpose is to cross the disciplinary boundaries between music and the visual arts, in a playful synesthesia that addresses and relates shapes, objects and colors with tones and auditory metaphors, an imaginary and empathetic eye / ear game.

Manuel Rocha Iturbide is a composer, sound artist, researcher and curator. Represented since 2011, he has had four individual exhibitions at the Le Laboratoire gallery and participated in more than 25 group shows coordinated by it.

Roberto Turnbull is a painter and engraver. Represented since 2010, he has also had four solo shows and contributed to more than 20 group shows.
