Luis César Rocca

LOOT in collaboration with the Agency of Art present the exhibition A flower for another flower by the artist Luis César Rocca.

In this installment, through a fictional garden, Rocca Luis César develops a plastic diversity of floral species nourished by the recovery of stories and characters both real and imaginary, a character that has become a constant in his work and, on this occasion, allows him to conceive an atmosphere whose chromatic and narrative variations are broken down in a scenographic way.

Beyond the romantic and feminine attribution that precedes the popular use of the phrase that gives it title to the show, Rocca seeks to broaden its metaphorical character.

We give our memories to flowers to celebrate our own growth and understand that withering is giving our colors to a new life. This last process was a revelation for Rocca during the ritual encounter with a floral specimen, which made him understand how even the most beautiful die.
