Lit & Luz Festival of Language, Literature, and Art Revision continues to support the creation of new art through international collaboration, and make space for essential dialogues between residents of Mexico and the United States.
The 2023 festival is themed Revision—re-envisioning the arts in light of the pandemic, reconsidering the canon, and revising for the future.
This cultural festival runs March 7-11 with nine free, bilingual artist talks, film screenings, poetry readings, and more at venues throughout Mexico City, including Casa del Cine, Casa Refugio Citlaltépetl, Centro Cultural Elena Garro and Museo Universitario del Chopo.
The festival’s signature event, the Live Magazine Show, will be presented on March 11 at 7 p.m. in partnership with El Museo Universitario del Chopo. At this program, pairs of Mexico- and US-based participants present the multimedia collaborative pieces created in the months prior.
