The Monthly Auction of El Castillo de Chapultepec: August 2024

The Castillo de Chapultepec Auctions are periodic auctions of contemporary art designed as a financial model for a local artistic community. The initiative seeks to respond to a fair distribution of resources, explore other mechanisms of collaboration and promote dialogue on the commercialization of art in Mexico.

Instead of donating their works, artists are compensated for their work and the development of the Castillo de Chapultepec continues. For each edition of the monthly auctions, El Castillo de Chapultepec invites an artist with a unique work made specifically for the auction.

The artwork 'Vasija' by panósmico is exhibited in the courtyard of Hotel Condesa DF and can be viewed during the hotel hours.  ⁠

End of auction: August 30, 7 pm

Estimated value: $1,700 - $2,300 USD

Starting price: $1,100 USD
