LATANGENTE Auction Volume 001

LATANGENTE is an art incubator with a double function: to amplify the voice of artists with diverse backgrounds and to build support networks for creation in Mexico. Created in the midst of a pandemic, this platform seeks to empower artists and bring their work closer to a wide range of audiences, using digital tools.

In April 2021, LATANGENTE launched its digital platform, latangente.mx, based on a model that combines crowdfunding and auctions. Through this website, artists can raise funds to finance the production of a project and develop their artistic career, in addition to auctioning their work.

The auction Volume 001 brings together one work from each of the first 8 artists selected by the curator Fabiola Iza: Dulce Chacón (CDMX, 1976), Edgar Solórzano (CDMX, 1989), Anni Garza Lau (CDMX, 1983), José Herrera ( Puebla, 1995), Mónica Figueroa (CDMX, 1991), Elisa Pinto (Aguascalientes, 1985), Ileana Moreno (CDMX, 1989), Chavis Mármol (Hidalgo, 1982).
