Jungmin Son Martin

Jungmin's tenacious discipline implies a loyal relationship for three years with a color vulnerable to prejudice, poink. This has infiltrated as an essential feature in the large-scale works of the korean artist. 

For her, pink is the color that supports the others. According to each of its variants it can become a sophisticated, soft or intense presence. In the 'Oasis personal' series, the brush stroke shares complicity with one of the entrails of Casa Lü, geometry. 

The appearance of vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines in Jung's more recent series are new and repetitive elements, the result of one of the first confinements and available time to herself - and Henry, her dog - over a month. In addition, it is a creative state completely absent from outside pictorial references. 

After her observation in the consolidated works of the History of Art, in which the portrait of joy has not been the most represented, Jungmin has taken the task of retaking this emotion to make paintings where personal time, meditation and a simple life hard to find. In this specific case, a search for structure in imaginary bodies of water that respond to the morning light.
