Jorge Rosano Gamboa

On the occasion of the recent exhibition at Lateral, the artist Jorge Rosano Gamboa and the curator Polina Stroganova will accompany us on a guided tour to talk about Rosano Gamboa's production and the conception of the curatorship for the exhibition.

When Jorge Rosano Gamboa found this vintage photograph about 20 years ago at the La Lagunilla flea market in Mexico City, he was about to study photography. Intrigued by the delicate yet powerful gesture of the cross at the time, he was of course unaware of where this image would take him 20 years later and how it could shape an entire body of work.
