Jorge Rosano Gamboa

Saenger Gallery invites you on Saturday, July 27th to a guided tour and talk with the artist Jorge Rosano Gamboa, as part of the exhibition bulto/niebla/piel.

The most recent series of paintings by Jorge Rosano Gamboa (Mexico City, 1984) draws its potential for synthesis and abstraction from the pre-Columbian universe. While the resulting work retains the identity of its references, such as the pre-Hispanic cultures of central Mexico, it also cites a type of conception in painting that emerged after Minimalism and Hard Edge; a way of thinking about painting akin to the style of Ellsworth Kelly.

— Christian Barragán

The exhibition is open until September 7th in the Project Room. The visit will include a cocktail party celebrating both Rosano Gamboa's exhibition and the German artist Alexander Wertheim's exhibition, located in the Main Room of the gallery.
