KOIK contemporary presents the exhibition Dreams by resident artist Jay Lee.

The solo exhibition of the Korean artist-in-residence Jay Lee, who exhibits a series of installations and paintings inspired by her vital and emotional processes, her motherhood, and the lessons learned from life as a nomad.

Between the folds of his supports, an interest in reconnecting nature with life itself can be seen. The gallery space opens up to exhibit a material sensibility from nature, the dimension of dreams and memory. Cherry trees, jacarandas and bougainvilleas create emotional and immersive landscapes. Both his understanding of space and his use and choice of materials have a connection to his personal journey and exploration. For Jay Lee, her artistic practice is a vital practice, a journey through her affective territories, and the recognition of a path that never stops establishing itself, nor is it limited by the mandates of society, but rather recovers the power of the dream, imagination and creation.
